What is Theology and why many Christians gets deeply into it while other Christians do not case about it?
I personally am interested in Theology which only deepens understanding of God’s word and build more faith.
The one who is not into Theology, how do you get to understand and learn about God ?
Theology is just a name for study of scripture.(any kind)
Bible study is a higher aim. As Jesus said, John 17:3 " This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ"
The Bible says that believers must care about doctrine. We must make the Bible as the final and ONLY authority on ALL matters! The Bible is the absolute Word of God and is 100% true!
But some don’t care about doctrine at all, which is why they fall for every lie that comes down the road.

You must know the theology of Christianity to be a Christian. Without it, you are just following blindly what someone else tells you…..>

I am a "practicing" Catholic, I am always reading books about my faith.
You are right. I don’t understand how they can say they are Catholic or Christian, then
only show up on Sundays and the rest of the week they act like all the regular
secularists in the work place.
Some just say they are a faith because its seems right at the time or they are
a politician and don’t want to look faithless. But I sometimes thing those that do not
learn about their faith, or pray, at least 10 minutes a day will have to a lot to answer for eventually.

"Theology" is simply the study of God.
Personally, I love Theology. I don’t think it’s just beneficial, I think it’s also essential to the Christian walk. I would encourage you to continue in your studies.
I cannot, however, answer for those who are not interested.

By definition, theology is the rational and systematic study of:
a) a particular religion and its influences, and
b) the nature of religious truth.
Christian theology is routinely taught at church-sponsored colleges or seminaries (e.g., University of Notre Dame, Dallas Theological Seminary, and many such academic institutions or lesser Bible colleges) as a learned profession acquired by specialized courses in religion (Biblical Langages, Hermeneutics, Christology, Pneumatology, Eschatology, Soteriology, and the like).
However, each branch of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Judeo-Christianity, and Judaism-influenced Islam) has its own schools and systems for disseminating their respective religious beliefs, rituals, and teachings.
So why do most Christians NOT care about learning the who, what, why, etc., of their religion? Because it’s much easier for them to take the word of someone else as to what Christianity believes and teaches, and why it’s believed and taught as it is.
In short, a vast majority of professing Christians want to know, but they don’t want to learn. Heaven forbid that they should have to DO something!
