Spirituality Information – You Can Never Get Rid Of Your Problem
“I have a major relationship problem .Can you help me get rid of the problem,Sir . It just does not seem to go away.” said the young man to the spiritual guru. The young man was very successful in his career but was unable to find a solution to his existing relationship issue. He looked very disturbed and had lost his composure. ” I cannot help you get rid of your problem” said the wise sage but i can do one thing for you ……”
” I can help you get out of the problem ….” The young man looked more confused now. The smiling sage went on to explain what he meant by getting out of the problem……
“Whenever you get into a problem there would be two or more people involved in every issue. You are one of them. The reason you find it difficult to get rid of the problem is because the other person/partner does not accept your solution. You have no control over his/her decisions. This gives you pain and you are not able to solve the problem. You drain all your energy in making him/her accept your solutions, you even compromise to a certain extent but still the other person is not interested in your way of doing things. Unfortunately you cannot do much…. and you are frustrated. You do not want to take the extreme steps of separation with your partner and so you are lost …
But there is another way to deal with the same problem. If you cannot get rid of the problem, you can get out of the problem. Here is how you do it. All the troubles,anguish pain and concern are created in your mind. It is your mind which makes you happy and it is the same mind which makes you unhappy. So if you can learn to train your mind to detach yourself from the problem the intensity of the pain would cease to exist. The problem would still exist externally but it does not trouble you beyond a point. It becomes powerless against your powerful mind. The external world exists outside where it should be and not inside where it should never have been. The way you go about making your mind powerful is by building this internal kingdom within you where you are the king and every other person/problem has to take permission from you before they enter into your kingdom.
The more you water the problem the more it grows. You have blown your external problem out of proportion and it keeps growing every day. However, you have never tried even once to build a rock solid support system within you which can tackle all these ongoing problems. The first step is to detach yourself from the problem and thats how you get out of the problem. It is wonderful and the rewards are gratifying. You ought to experience it.”

Why do some Americans desperately cling to religion when they have total access to most information on earth?
It seems a little spoiled if you ask me, education is a true gift from God, sure you can say that "magic men dun it" but if you have the resources to get a concrete awnser to your problems firsthand why do you need to stay in your little shell of ideas you yourself possibly think can be disproven? I am not saying religion is bad, there are some questions which science can never awnser, such as spirituality, aswell as the concept of a higher power governing reality, (seeing as science follows grand laws, one must think to himself, who or what set these laws?)
GC- Last I checked, many of the "founding fathers" as you put it, weren’t all that "Christian" they were descendents of people who wanted to create a country FREE from "religious persecution"……..

Why do you assume the two are mutually exclusive. The Catholic Church educates more people than any other organization in the United States and In the world.
The Catholic Church has the oldest academy of Science in the world (at the Vatican), we developed the scientific method, and there are more Ph.d. in fields of Science in the clergy than any other organization.

Religion must embrace logic and reason, science is a complement, not a contradict, to faith.

The internet is interesting, but it doesn’t provide all the answers at once. I have learned a lot of terrible things about the nature of man on the internet. Can you believe it. Yes, it’s true. That knowledge ENRICHES my concept of God’s Creation, and the state it’s in. This knowledge contributes to a Dark Night of the Soul, but that must be part of the plan, somehow. This summer science might create a blackhole at Cern that causes mass destruction, and if not this summer maybe next. And all those great scientific discoveries eventually get turned into weapons by whom……BY MAN. They might use it for I can’t even utter the words…..Man and His Science. So what good is science without God and a Divine Purpose if man is simply on his own able to destroy himself over and over again because he has pride and ignorance at the same time. Man is Blind without God. It is the blind leading the blind. I know….it is only our mortal existence….but could it be that things would have gone a different ‘direction’ if God had truly been put first……Love God above all things, and Love your neighbor as yourself, said Jesus. Instead Man turns science into weapons on the basis of survival of the fittest. Well, there’s nothing to be done about it…..except pray for the sake of all our eternal souls, and try to develop some confidence that in spite of our evil ways God is merciful. But if the story of Jesus is TRUE….then we should follow well the things he has taught us in the FOUR GOSPELS.

Because their god likes his people with their minds nailed shut. Intelligence and knowledge is bad; ignorance is good!
Oh, and most religion IS bad. Who destroyed the World Trade Center? Who bombs abortion clinics? Atheists don’t do stuff like this; they have no silly man-made god to die or kill for. I don’t hear of Pagans or Wiccans running amok either.

I would say faith isn’t bad, but religions are. They have taken any spiritual teachers and teachings, sectioned, and factioned it so much that it barely resembles the original faith other than in name.
Clinging to the old is less frightening that embracing anything new. And decrying anything new, denigrating it, ridiculing it is a tried and true method of certain religions and religious leaders to stop people from leaving the old and trying the new.
