Should Religion and Spirituality be divided into two separate forums?
Some people have religion and no spirituality.
Some people have no religion and plenty of spirituality.
What do you think?
So maybe a Christian list, an Athiest list, and a Spiritual list. That leaves the two warring factions in their own corner, with spiritually interested people of neither sect free to roam through their thoughts in peace.
Come on people. Lets think about the hateful and spiteful things being said here. I have never asked you to accept my religious views other than to accept my rigbht to hold them. No one here has suggested hell for me, or damnation, but I figure if I am honest that will come in time. I thought Christians were supposed to be experts at love, not hate. Why ever would I respect those who get violent and condemning every time someone elects to say a different truth?
You say tomato, I say…………….

The truth is that people who claim to be "spiritual, not religious" are usually neither. It’s just something they heard that sounds good to say.

DO not agree, you cannot separate them.

No way- we are not separating our forum!

religion is spirituality.
The people who are spiritual are not always part of any religion.

Difficult: sometimes the line between the two is awful thin.

i agree i’ve had questions and answers deleted because some religous nut didnt like my views and i do believe in a god. just not one who sends 5/6 of his children to hell because they were taught to worship in another manner. a god like that would not be worth a second thought

Religion came about because people have a spiritual need, so no the two will never be separated.

Haha, I can’t really say how much I appreciate you asking that.
Yes, there’s a vast difference between religion and spirituality, even thought they’re meant to be together. When we’re religious, we’re simply accepting the presence of that higher being out there (Krsna/Allah/Christ – all the same), yet, we see that stuff happens under the name of religion. Religion, as a word, I’d say encompasses a variety of beliefs, in which there is the belief of spirituality. An answer on the basis of religion would differ variably for the same question being answered on a spiritual basis. I still wouldn’t want it that way, but the present world, y’know. As an end note, I feel spiritualists might be religious but religious might not be spiritual. Thanks again, for asking this.

Sadly I think yes! While I have fought this Ideal I have been threatened and harassed and have seen others having been treated the same way!
Many Atheists peruse this list and often times they think it is a joke to place sexually Implicit material here forgetting that minors often peruse this list as well!
While I want to witness to everyone Kids are damaged by this action. Add to that the people who come here with desperation and hopeless in their questions who are on the very edge of suicide and some people urge them to commit this crime against God and themselves
and illegally tell them to go ahead and kill themselves as has happened at least twice!!
When weighing the odds I believe that people ought to be able to read the responses but not everyone should be able to post on the Christian list !
I believe that a Christian list needs tobe established separately from Religion!
