To prevent thieves…?
give up all of your earthly possesions. This is a universal truth that spans across several religious beliefs. Christ talks about it in Matthew, and in the Tao te Ching it is stated in the third poem. Why is it that we all ignore this (my self included) and instead focus on punishing those who would steal our material possesions? Has anyone noticed that Christ was a communist? (this conclusion is drawn from his teachings, which I study) For those who would like scriptural reference…
Matthew 6:19-25
I am going to have to look into that
Christ has a commie, yee gods…
no wonder he went sharing all that bread and fishes about the place…a proper capitalist like myself would have sold it and made a tidy profit…
No vision, the supreme beings of today

Christ also said to be grateful for what God gave you……
i don’t see the communism in Matthew…..
Prett sure that Jesus was saying that no material this on this earth matters, what matters is where your heart is and where you will spend your eternal life.

Jesus was not a communist because he was talking on a personal level not a government one (he tells us to obey the laws of our land and pay our taxes not throw our governments over). He was not of this world
He also was asking us to do this out of our own free will not as a law to be put on someone else.
Matthew 6
6:19
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
6:20
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
6:21
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
6:22
"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
6:23
But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
6:24
"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
6:25
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
