Why do so many Christians complain about prayer being removed from school?
You do realize that your kids are free to pray in class anytime they wish, right?
And that the only thing removed from schools is the educators are not permitted to lead such a prayer.
So I wonder if you are teaching your kids all about church and god, why the heck do you need the teacher to direct prayer for them? Shouldn’t you be teaching them how to pray?
I can volunteer at any school, I can pray when in that school…I can not engage the children and force them to pray with me.
I have no problem with the rules…
my children were taught that they could stop drop and pray anywhere they wanted…..including school but they were told they could never ever ever force another child to join them, or try to make another student believe what they believed.
its not like kids pray in school anyway.
so i have no idea what the fuss is all about.
crackheads i suppose.

Because our God is mad at the school board for prohibiting God fearing teachers from praying along with our children

I think with so much bullying going on in the schools, and teachers teaching anything that takes their fancy, It might be a good idea to have prayers back in the schools, What more inclusi ve prayer is there than the Lord’s prayer. OUr Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Would not the teachers and children come to realize He is everyone’s Father in heaven, so to bully someone, or treat someone unkindly or heavenly Father would notice? It puts everyone on equal ground.

I don’t necessarily think it’s the fact that the teachers don’t lead the prayer I think each child should have the freedom of whatever prayer that they choose. It comes down to the fact that if a group of my child’s friends want they can’t pray together they have to do it separately and silently. I don’t necessarily feel that christian prayer should be forced on the entire school but I feel that if a group of students want to pray together during the moment of silence then they should have that right whatever type of prayer that they choose
And to Dan T I am a proud Southern Baptisit and we don’t have to make a stink about everything and we are a far cry from a hate group. Just b/c a few do doesn’t mean we all do. I can’t stand when people pigeon hole everyone into one
