What is the spirituality of Chinese Kung fu and Japanese Samurais?
When i watch Japanese films, they don’t give a clear idea about their Spirituality. Chinese film shows buddhist deities in their films , here and there. But then Who are Taoist ?
Just Google Taoism and Buddhism for Chinese religion and google Shintoism and Zen Buddhism for Japanese Religion.
As far as I know, and anyone can correct me if I’m wrong, Taoism is the religion that founded the Yin Yang Philosophy of Tai Chi and is centered in the Wudang/Wu Tang Mountain Temple. While Buddhism is centered in the Shaolin Temple.
Shintoism is the ancient Japanese religious practice of venerating their ancestors and is as old as Japan itself, while Zen Buddhism is an offshoot of Chinese Chan Buddhism and was the religion practiced by most of the Samurai during the medieval era.

Spirituality, to me, manifests in a person as love, compassion, being gentle with people. Sometimes these can be perceived by society to be feminine characterists. So do men who are spiritual manifest these outwardly, or do they maintain more of a masculine image? Basically what I am asking, is do men put off expressing spiritual qualities that might be perceived by society as weak?
Spirtuality is above social and personal territories
Atheists who aren’t fond of organized religion, where do you stand on personal spirituality?
I know some atheists are pretty "whatever" on other people having Religion while others are actually against organized religion, but what is your stance on non-religious personal Spirituality?
I’m extremely anti-theist but even I’ll admit I prefer personal spirituality. At least it’s coming from the heart and showing effort to explore the possibilities. I don’t consider religion spiritual because it’s missing the journey and excluding your own personal interpretations.
Paganism seems to offer what I’m looking for in blending Spirituality and Nature, and I am beginning to read and research about Paganism in general.
Aside from that, in what ways can one blend spirituality with Nature?
The christian god to energy. The definition of both are the same. Take a look!

This is how I see it :
the cutting edge of physics, quantum physics, has uncovered the fact that everything is interconnected and that everything is a self created illusion
this is exactly what mystics have been talking about for ages, it is even written down in the Vedas which is older than Christianity and the basis for Hinduism
It seems to me that Spirituality which is on the left takes its own path towards the right
then science which is on the right takes its own path towards the left
spirituality and science which are clearly two sides of the coin meet in the center and reveal the same truths through differing means
Great analysis. I agree with you.
What do you think of the questions posted here concerning religion and spirituality?
I wish people would use this section to ask serious questions concerning Spirituality and Religion instead of making a mockery of a very serious matter to a lot of people. I’m sure some of these answers will make fun of me or God or religion in general. It’s so sad!
.
Granted: Very few are sincere.
But posting a sincere Christian answer, even to an insincere question, is speaking for our Creator.
.
Since there is no evidence for the existence of a spirit, I wish there was an alternative word to express the conventional meaning of “Spirituality” (a connection to the rest of humanity and life on earth, a sense of wonder and awe.) Any ideas?

All the main faiths seem to have a lot in common, But someone may agree with one aspect of one Religion and another aspect of a different religion and mix them together and it could work for them well and better than following one religion completely and some people say all religions are different paths to the same truth anyway.
I think eclectic Spirituality is common in Wicca and Paganism.
I think there are forms of "eclectic" Christianity too… perhaps these paths arn’t so much eclectic as mystic… meaning that instead of "picking and choosing" their favorite bits like from a buffet of religions at the cafeteria, people seek personal gnosis, seek a personal way of relating to God or the cosmos and use methods and ideas from various religions to inspire them on their path.
Sufism is a mystic path of Islam that seeks a personal relationship with Allah… as far as I know, they are a very peaceful and tolerant sect that teaches love along with the typical message of submission to Allah that characterizes all muslim sects. While they may not be "eclectic" per se, their mystic approach may help describe what eclectics within Wicca and paganism attempt to do and why they may be somewhat more peaceful and tolerant then other groups.

Why do so many atheists come to the Religion and Spirituality section in Yahoo Answers?
Questions I ask in the Religion and Spirituality section directed to atheists often get 25 or more responses. Then I got to wondering why atheists are interested in answering questions that are on the topic of religion and spirituality.
I am here because I enjoy discussing and debating Religion and Spirituality, I enjoy learning about religion and spirituality, and I enjoy replying to the questions people ask of atheists.
Some people have religion and no spirituality.
Some people have no Religion and plenty of Spirituality.
What do you think?
So maybe a Christian list, an Athiest list, and a Spiritual list. That leaves the two warring factions in their own corner, with spiritually interested people of neither sect free to roam through their thoughts in peace.
Come on people. Lets think about the hateful and spiteful things being said here. I have never asked you to accept my religious views other than to accept my rigbht to hold them. No one here has suggested hell for me, or damnation, but I figure if I am honest that will come in time. I thought Christians were supposed to be experts at love, not hate. Why ever would I respect those who get violent and condemning every time someone elects to say a different truth?
