This is a new series (1-26) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.

Verse No. 26 in the Old Testament says: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Verse No. 26 in the New Testament says: Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying,

Verse No. 26 in the Noble Quran says: or like a rainstorm from the sky, wherein is darkness, thunder and the flash of lightning. they thrust their fingers in their ears by reason of the thunder-claps, for fear of death, Allah encompasses the disbelievers (in his guidance, his omniscience and his omnipotence).

————————

The verse No. 26 in the Old Testament is Genesis 1:26

The verse continues talking about the last day of the creation of the heavens and the earth, it says: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Man was created the same day that the wild animals were created

Now we are on the sixth day of the creation of the heavens and the earth; on that day God created the beasts, the wild animals and the livestock as well as man i.e. man was made the same day that the beasts were made.

Is man the last of all the God’ creatures? in Bible versus Quran

According to Genesis 1:26, the sixth day of the creation of the heavens and the earth was done and Man was made last of all the creatures. In the Quran: Allah is still Creating and He Will Create new creatures which WE DO NOT KNOW.

Verse 16:8 of the Noble Quran says:

QARIB: He has created for you horses, mules, and donkeys, which you ride and as an adornment; and He creates what you do not know.

It should be emphasized that the verb create in this verse (16:8) comes in the present tense, that in Arabic indicates the permanence and the continuity of the action both in the present time and in the future. This declares that Allah is still creating and He will create new creatures which WE DO NOT KNOW.

One has to become aware of this fact!

————————

The verse No. 26 in the New Testament is Matthew 2:1

The verse says: Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying,

Who is Herod?

Herod was the king of Judea who (according to the New Testament) tried to kill Jesus by ordering the death of all children under age two in Bethlehem.

why did king Herod want to kill Jesus?

The Biblical Scholars say that, Herod was ruthless and power hungry. He would stop at nothing. Previously, he had murdered his wife, his three sons and his uncle, as well as countless other people. Jesus was a threat to him so killing many infants in order to get rid of Jesus was Herod’s plan.

Who are the Magi?

The Magi are the wise men, generally assumed to be three (or more) in number, who traveled to Bethlehem to pay homage to the infant Jesus. They are the class of Zoroastrian priests in ancient Media and Persia, reputed to possess supernatural powers.

Magus is one of the Magi who is a magician, sorcerer, astrologer. or a Zoroastrian priest.

From Middle English magi, from Latin mag?, pl. of magus, sorcerer, magus, from Greek magos, from Old Persian maguš.

Magi in Arabic is Magous

Magi is translated from Arabic to English as Magians

However, Magi in Arabic is “Magous”

In contrary to English, Magous is the plural form; its single form is “Magousee”.

Magous are three or more in number; Magousee is only one person.

The Magous are the worshippers of the sun and fire;

They believe that anything either comes from the light or the darkness.

The good things come from the light. The evil things come from the darkness.

That is why they worshipped the sun that is the source of light at day; and the Fire that was the source of light at night. They had temples, priests, servants and festivals for the Fire that is considered as god in their faith. The Magous do not believe in the Hereafter.

Now the question is: Are the Magi wise men? Is the one who sets on and set off the Fire and worships it a wise man?

————————

Verse No. 25 in the Noble Quran is 2:19,

Chapter 2 is Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW),

Verses 2:8-20 are talking about the hypocrites

Verse 2:8 (See article 15) states that the hypocrites say: ‘we believe in Allah and the last day, ‘ yet they are not believers.

Verse 2:9 (See article 16) says: They think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they perceive not.

Verse 2:10 (See article 17) says: “There is a sickness in their (the hypocrites) hearts which Allah has increased; for them there is a painful punishment because they lie.”

Verse 2:11 (See article 18) says: when it is said to them: Do not corrupt in the land; they (the hypocrites) say: we are only reformers.

Verse 2:12 (See article 19) says: are not they indeed the mischief-makers? but they perceive not.

Verse 2:13 (See article 20) says: and when it is said to them: believe as the people believe they say: shall we believe as the fools believe? now surely they themselves are the fools, but they do not know

Verse 2:14 (See article 21) says: when they meet those who believe, they say, ‘we, too believe. ‘ but when they are alone with their devils, they say to them: ‘we follow none but you, we were only mocking

Verse 2:15 (See article 22) says: Allah shall pay them back their mockery, and he leaves them alone in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

Verse 2:16 (See article 23) says: these are they who have bartered guidance for error: but their traffic is profitless, and they have lost true direction,

Verse 2:17 (See article 24) says: their parable is like the parable of one who kindled a fire but when it had illumined all around him, Allah took away their light, and left them in utter darkness; they do not see.

Verse 2:18 (See article 25) says: deaf, dumb, and blind, they will not return (to the path).

Verse 2:19 continues talking about the hypocrites; and gives a strange social and scientific simile whereby the likeness of the hypocrites vis-à-vis the Quran. The verse says: or like a rainstorm from the sky, wherein is darkness, thunder and the flash of lightning. they thrust their fingers in their ears by reason of the thunder-claps, for fear of death, Allah encompasses the disbelievers (in his guidance, his omniscience and his omnipotence).

The meaning of verse 2:19:

Or like a rainstorm from the sky. This is another simile or parable, whereby the likeness of the hypocrites vis-à-vis the Quran is like rain that has poured down from heaven at night onto the wilderness, (wherein is darkness, thunder and the flash of lightening). Such is the Quran.

For it has come down from Allah; it contains darkness as embodied in the exposition of seditions, thundering of rebuke whereby fear is instilled, lightening of exposition, instruction and promise.

They thrust their fingers in their ears by reason of the thunder-claps, due to the sound of the thunder (for fear of death), for fear of misfortune and death. Similarly, the hypocrites used to put their fingers in their ears when they heard the Quran recited, delivering promises and threats like thunder-claps, and this they did for fear of death, i.e. for fear of being drawn to it.

And Allah encompasses the disbelievers and hypocrites, i.e. He knows them and will gather them in Eternal Fire.

In other words, the likeness of them is as a cloudburst, that is, [the likeness of them is] as people are during rain; out of the heaven, out of the clouds, in which clouds is darkness, layer upon layer, and thunder, the angel in charge of them;

it is also said that this [thunder] is actually the sound of his voice; and lightning, the flash caused by his voice which he uses to drive them. They, the people under the rain, put their fingers, that is, their fingertips, in their ears against, because of, the thunderclaps, the violent sound of thunder, in order not to hear it, cautious of, fearful of, death, if they were to hear it.

Similar is the case with these: when the Quran is revealed, in which there is mention of the unbelief that is like darkness, the threat of punishment that is like the sound of thunder, and the clear arguments that are like the clear lightning, they shut their ears in order not to hear it and thereby incline towards [true] faith and abandon their religion, which for them would be death; and Allah encompasses the disbelievers in both knowledge and power, so they cannot escape Him.

==========

Verse No. 26 in the Old Testament, the New Testament in four different versions of the Bible; and in the Noble Quran in Four different Translations

Verse No. 26 in the Old Testament

Genesis 1:26

New International Version:

26] Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

New American Standard Version:

26] Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

English Standard Version:

26] Then God said, “Let us make man[a] in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

King James Version:

26] And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

————————

Verse No. 26 in the New Testament

Matthew 2:1

New International Version:

1] After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem

New American Standard Version:

1] Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying,

English Standard Version:

1] Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem,

King James Version:

1] Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

————————

Verse No. 26 in the Noble Quran

Chapter 2:19

Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW)

QARIB: or, like (those who, under) a cloudburst from the sky with darkness, thunder and lightning, they thrust their fingers in their ears at the sound of every thunderclap for fear of death, and Allah encompasses the unbelievers.

SHAKIR: or like abundant rain from the cloud in which is utter darkness and thunder and lightning; they put their fingers into their ears because of the thunder peal, for fear of death, and Allah encompasses the unbelievers

PICKTHAL: or like a rainstorm from the sky, wherein is darkness, thunder and the flash of lightning. they thrust their fingers in their ears by reason of the thunder-claps, for fear of death, Allah encompasseth the disbelievers (in his guidance, his omniscience and his omnipotence).

YUSUFALI: or (another similitude) is that of a rain-laden cloud from the sky: in it are zones of darkness, and thunder and lightning: they press their fingers in their ears to keep out the stunning thunder-clap, the while they are in terror of death. but Allah is ever round the rejecters of faith!

==========

It is very premature to ask this question:

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?

Wait and you will see.

Thank you for asking this, I would recommend praying to the Lord that He would give you a verse. All of God’s word is inspirational, and it is when He makes it alive in us that it becomes special to us. The Lord opens our eyes and hearts to see those precious promises that He gives to us in His word, how precious His word is! I would love to share some verses that I love and that I am thinking of right now that have to do with praying for someone.

Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

I have prayed for you and your friend,
with sincerity in Christ,

This is a new series (1-29) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.

Verse No. 29 in the Old Testament says: Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of the whole earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;

Verse No. 29 in the New Testament says: When he (Herod the king) had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.

Verse No. 29 in the Noble Quran says: Allah made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and He sends down rain from the cloud then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know.

————————

The verse No. 29 in the Old Testament is Genesis 1:29

The verse says: Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;

In this verse, the Bible determines man’s food; it is every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it.

A vegetarian is person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc.

In the verse Genesis 1:29, Herbs and fruits must be man’s food, including corn, and all the products of the earth; it seems likely that the Bible is in favor of the vegetarians.

————————

The verse No. 29 in the New Testament is Matthew 2:4

In the articles 26-28, Matthew 2:1-3 say:

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying: Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

In this article, Matthew 2:4 says:

When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.

This means that Herod the king gathered all the chief priests, the scribes of the people and teachers of the law; he asked them where the Christ (the Messiah) was to be born.

————————

Verse No. 29 in the Noble Quran is 2:22,

Chapter 2 is Surah: AL-BAQARA (THE COW),

Verses 2:1-5 are talking about the believers.

Verses 2:6-7 are talking about the disbelievers.

Verses 2:8-20 are talking about the hypocrites.

The address of verses 2:21-24 is general to mankind.

In the article 28, verse 2:21 says:

O mankind! worship your guardian-lord, who created you and those who came before you, that you may have the chance to learn righteousness (so that you will be cautious).

In this article, verse 2:22 says:

Who (Allah) made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and (who) sends down rain from the cloud then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know.

The meaning of verse 2:22:

It is Allah, Who assigned to you, created for you, the earth for a couch, like a carpet that is laid out, neither extremely hard, nor extremely soft so as to make it impossible to stand firm upon it; and heaven for an edifice, like a roof; and sent down from the heaven water, wherewith He brought forth, all types of fruits for your provision; so set not up compeers to Allah, that is partners in worship, while you know that He is the Creator, that you create not and that only One that creates can be Allah.

In other words, the verse says: Who has appointed the earth a resting-place for you, a place for dwelling and sleeping, and the sky a canopy, raised high above; and causes water to pour down from the sky, i.e. rain, thereby producing through this rain fruits, different kinds of fruit as food for you, as sustenance for you and all created beings.

So do not set up rivals to Allah, do not say that Allah has peers, different forms or coequals when you know that He is the fashioner of all these things.

It is also said that (when you know) means: when you know from your own scripture that Allah does not have a son, coequal or peer.

==========

Chapter 2:22

Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW)

QARIB: who has made the earth a bed for you and the sky a dome, and has sent down water from the sky to bring forth fruits for your provision. do not knowingly set up rivals to Allah.

SHAKIR: who made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and (who) sends down rain from the cloud then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know

PICKTHAL: who hath appointed the earth a resting-place for you, and the sky a canopy; and causeth water to pour down from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you. and do not set up rivals to Allah when ye know (better).

YUSUFALI: who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth).

==========

It is very premature to ask this question:

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?

Wait and you will see.

In M. Night Shyamalan’s Devil (2010) a Bible verse is heard being read by a male voiceover, and it states that the devil is going to devour people. In a voiceover a person says that his mother had told him stories as a child about how the devil is going to gather people together and torture them before killing them; also, a suicide leads to the devil being present and leaving only after a person watches their most loved person die in front of them.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (New International Version)

8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

2 Chronicles 7 (Amplified Bible)
14If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. +++"God’s Promises to Solomon. (b. c. 1004.) That God accepted Solomon’s prayer appeared by the fire from heaven. But a prayer may be accepted and yet not answered in the letter of it; and therefore God appeared to him in the night, as he did once before (ch. i. 7), and after a day of sacrifice too, as then, and gave him a peculiar answer to his prayer. We had the substance of it before, 1 Kings ix. 2-9.

I. He promised to own this house for a house of sacrifice to Israel and a house of prayer for all people (Isa. lvi. 7): My name shall be there for ever (v. 12, 16), that is, "There will I make myself known, and there will I be called upon."

II. He promised to answer the prayers of his people that should at any time be made in that place, v. 13-15. National judgments are here supposed (v. 13), famine, and pestilence, and perhaps war, for by the locusts devouring the land meant enemies as greedy as locusts, and laying all waste. 2. National repentance, prayer, and reformation, are required, v. 14. God expects that his people who are called by his name, if they have dishonoured his name by their iniquity, should honour it by accepting the punishment of their iniquity. They must humble themselves under his hand, must pray for the removal of the judgment, must seek the face and favour of God; and yet all this will not do unless they turn from their wicked ways, and return to the God from whom they have revolted. 3. National mercy is then promised, that God will forgive their sin, which brought the judgment upon them, and then heal their land, redress all their grievances. Pardoning mercy makes ways for healing mercy, Ps. ciii. 3; Matt. ix. 2.
