What is a Bible verse that will uplift a non believer?
I have a friend who doesn’t really believe in god… Is there a Bible verse that can really get her thinking?
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. (Psalms 23:1-6 NKJV)
*Don’t worry about all these negative comments, don’t let them discourage you for trying to share the Gospel. I do not know why anyone would not want to feel like you have a great being like God looking out for you. Someone to love you unconditionally. Someone who wants you to be happy and safe and can do all those things for you.
***For all of you non believers, may you find the truth.
Try me.

Don’t force your friends to convert to Christianity or any other religion (including atheism). That’s how friendships get ruined.

Atheist for life.
Be a Light as Jesus said not a drum.
Lift up all human beings no matter there beliefs with kindness joy and the result of your grace your actions your feeding of the poor and your taking care of the good samaritan without judgment,,
YOU are the verse and it is HOW you act that is what she will see.
the moment you open your mouth you become a drum and one of those false prophets JESUS who is God told you about,

Doubtful. Many atheists have read the Bible thoroughly and it only strengthened their non-belief in a deity. Either you believe in fairy tales, or you don’t. I really do think it’s that simple.

First, pray and ask for wisdom and tact as you approach this subject. The best witness is your life and if you are living a life that brings glory to God, she may come asking you for "what happened to you?" That might be a slightly open door.
Best advice I can give is to honor this friend somewhat like a Christian wife would minister to her unbelieving husband. Peter spoke of this in 1 Peter, saying that it’s better to witness without words but by behavior that honors God.
May I share a verse of Scripture with you? Revelation 3:8 says "I have set before you an open door which no one can shut". Claim that promise and see how our Lord leads you in your witnessing.

Jeremiah 29:11 is nice.
Read it your self for some encouragement…it goes something like this:
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord…plans to prosper you, and not to harm you…to give you a future, and and a hope.
He does not want to harm anyone…although some will receive harm, if they deserve it. What blessing does God want to bring to your life?
It can open the conversation to some good things…and thinking on good things is always uplifting…Like the song in Sound of Music…
" These are a few of my favorite things !"

I think that I would not bother, since anything that I might quote would just as likely irritate the person as anything.
Despite better sense, people keep trying. The Bible is just words (that to many contain comfort, spiritual meaning, and a "Message") so, to try to use it with someone who does not accept it can be (and would be to me) considered an affront.
You’d be far better off being a good example of what you believe, rather than a preacher… Jesus said, "Let your light so shine…"

No, because if she is a non-believer then nothing in the bible will get her to change her mind.
Just like if you don’t believe in Santa and your friend pulls out the night before Christmas to get you to think about it.
Not going to work.
I’m a believer, and I don’t respond to anything in the bible.
The bible isn’t all that special to all people so it’s not going to get anyone really thinking.
