Is there a bible verse pertaining to people attracting people like themselves?
I am trying to explain to my family member who is making good decisions for herself and working towards her bachelors that she is beautiful, kind, very smart, and has everything going for her. She believes these things about herself but she doesn’t believe she can attract some one of the same caliber. If I can quote her a bible verse I think it would have a better impact. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks in advance.
Galatians 5:22-23 attributes: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance".
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight". (1 Peter 3:3-4)
Maybe something from Proverbs 31:10-31 like:
* 10Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
* 11The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
* 12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
* 17She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
* 20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
* 22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
* 25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
* 26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
* 27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
* 28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
* 29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
* 30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
* 31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Philippians 4:5 "Let your gentleness be evident to all".
"A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones". (Proverbs 15:30)
"A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches. (Proverbs 11:16)
"In the same way, their wives are to be women worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything". (1 Timothy 3:11)
The verse about going to hell for being evil.
