In the Bible: the Secret Meeting of King Herod With the Magi
This is a new series (1-32) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.
Verse No. 32 in the Old Testament says: Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Verse No. 32 in the New Testament says: Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star (of Jesus) had appeared.
Verse No. 32 in the Noble Quran says: and give glad tidings (O Muhammad) unto those who believe and do good works; that theirs are gardens underneath which rivers flow; as often as they are regaled with food of the fruit thereof, they say: this is what was given us aforetime; and it is given to them in resemblance. there for them are pure companions; there for ever they abide.
————————
The verse No. 32 in the Old Testament is Genesis 2:1
The verse says: Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Host in Bible versus Host in English Dictionary
The question is: What are these hosts?
The linguistics meanings of “Host”:
1- An army.
2- A great number; a multitude.
3- One who receives or entertains guests in a social or official capacity.
4- A person who manages an inn or hotel.
5- One that furnishes facilities and resources for a function or event:

10- Internet: To serve as host to or at; web Hosting.
Which one (or more) of these meanings of “host” is applied to the verse to give a logic meaning for it?
————————
The verse No. 32 in the New Testament is Matthew 2:7
In the articles 26-31, Matthew 2:1-6 say:
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying: Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. He asked the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, where the Christ was to be born.
They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:
‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.
Then the verse, Matthew 2:7, says:
Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star (of Jesus) had appeared.
But why Herod called the Magi secretly? Was he afraid of something?
————————
Verse No. 32 in the Noble Quran is 2:25,
Chapter 2 is Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW),
The verse says: and give glad tidings (O Muhammad) unto those who believe and do good works; that theirs are gardens underneath which rivers flow; as often as they are regaled with food of the fruit thereof, they say: this is what was given us aforetime; and it is given to them in resemblance. there for them are pure companions; there for ever they abide.
The meaning of verse 2:25:
Then Allah mentioned the favors enjoyed by the believers in Paradise, saying:
And give glad tidings unto those who believe in Muhammad and in the Quran and do good works of obedience that bind to their Lord; and it is also that this refers to doing any righteous deeds;
that theirs are Gardens beneath which, trees and habitations, rivers flow, rivers of wine, milk, honey and water; as often as they are provided with food, whenever they are fed in Paradise of the fruit thereof, with different kinds of fruit, they say: This is what was given us before, this is what we ate before, and it is given to them i.e. the food in resemblance, as far as the color is concerned but not the taste which is different. There for them in Paradise are pure spouses, pure from menses or any kind of filth, therein, in Paradise, forever they abide, dwelling forever: never to die or be banished from it.
In other words, the verse means:
And give good tidings to, inform, those who believe, who have faith in Allah, and perform righteous deeds, such as the obligatory and supererogatory rituals, that theirs shall be Gardens, of trees, and habitations, underneath which, that is, underneath these trees and palaces, rivers flow. Whensoever they are provided with fruits therefrom, that is, whenever they are given to eat from these gardens, they shall say, ‘This is what, that is, the like of what we were provided with before’, that is, before this, in Paradise, since its fruits are similar (and this is evidenced by [the following statement]): they shall be given it, the provision, in perfect semblance, that is, resembling one another in color, but different in taste; and there for them shall be spouses, of houris (one of the beautiful virgins provided in paradise for all faithful Muslims) and others, purified, from menstruation and impurities; therein they shall abide: dwelling therein forever, neither perishing nor departing therefrom.
It is said that there is no menstruation, filth and impurities in Paradise.

It is very premature to ask this question:
Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?
Wait and you will see.

Bible Versus Quran Versus Sciences, (26) the Locusts
The Locusts are mentioned in the Bible 36 times and in the Quran two times, i.e., the Bible cites the Locusts 18 times more than the Quran does.
Furthermore, the total words of the Bible are 788,280 while the total words of the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible has the likely of more than 10 times than the Quran word-wise to talk about the Locusts. In addition, the Bible has the prospective of more than 35 times than the Quran topic-wise to utter about the Locusts.
The Locusts in the Bible:
The LORD punished Pharaoh and Egypt with Locusts:
Exodus 10:1
[The Plague of Locusts] Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his officials so that I may perform these miraculous signs of mine among them
Exodus 10:4
If you refuse to let them go, I will bring locusts into your country tomorrow.
Exodus 10:12
And the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over Egypt so that locusts will swarm over the land and devour everything growing in the fields, everything left by the hail.”
Exodus 10:13
So Moses stretched out his staff over Egypt, and the LORD made an east wind blow across the land all that day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts;
Exodus 10:14
They invaded all Egypt and settled down in every area of the country in great numbers. Never before had there been such a plague of locusts, nor will there ever be again.
Exodus 10:19
And the LORD changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the locusts and carried them into the Red Sea. Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt.
Locusts as food:
Leviticus 11:22
Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper.
Matthew 3:4
John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
Mark 1:6
John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.
Locusts devour, 12 verses tell that Locusts devour the fields which is a common knowledge that anyone knows:
Deuteronomy 28:38
You will sow much seed in the field but you will harvest little, because locusts will devour it.
Deuteronomy 28:42
Swarms of locusts will take over all your trees and the crops of your land.
2 Chronicles 7:13
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,
Psalm 78:46
He gave their crops to the grasshopper, their produce to the locust.
Isaiah 33:4
Your plunder, O nations, is harvested as by young locusts; like a swarm of locusts men pounce on it.
Jeremiah 51:14
The LORD Almighty has sworn by himself: I will surely fill you with men, as with a swarm of locusts, and they will shout in triumph over you.
Joel 1:2
[An Invasion of Locusts] Hear this, you elders; listen, all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your forefathers?
Joel 2:1
[An Army of Locusts] Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand-
Amos 4:9
“Many times I struck your gardens and vineyards; I struck them with blight and mildew. Locusts devoured your fig and olive trees, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the LORD.
Amos 7:1
[Locusts, Fire and a Plumb Line] This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts after the king’s share had been harvested and just as the second crop was coming up.
Nahum 3:15
There the fire will devour you; the sword will cut you down and, like grasshoppers, consume you. Multiply like grasshoppers, multiply like locusts!
Lift up this banner in the land
Jeremiah 51:27
“Lift up a banner in the land! Blow the trumpet among the nations! Prepare the nations for battle against her; summon against her these kingdoms: Ararat, Minni and Ashkenaz. Appoint a commander against her; send up horses like a swarm of locusts.
The Bible says that Locusts are countless; however, we can count the bacteria nowadays!
Judges 6:5
They came up with their livestock and their tents like swarms of locusts. It was impossible to count the men and their camels; they invaded the land to ravage it.
Judges 7:12
The Midianites, the Amalekites and all the other eastern peoples had settled in the valley, thick as locusts. Their camels could no more be counted than the sand on the seashore.
Psalm 105:34
He spoke, and the locusts came, grasshoppers without number;
Jeremiah 46:23
They will chop down her forest,” declares the LORD, “dense though it be. They are more numerous than locusts, they cannot be counted.
Nahum 3:16
You have increased the number of your merchants till they are more than the stars of the sky, but like locusts they strip the land and then fly away.
Again, this verse says that the number of merchants are more than the stars of the sky; this statement is impossible from the scientific point of view.
One event that is repeated twice; Read and Compare:
1 Kings 8:37
“When famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when an enemy besieges them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come,
2 Chronicles 6:28
“When famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when enemies besiege them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come,
Although the two verses talk about one event, however, in the first verse, there is one enemy; this enemy became many enemies in the second verse. Could one enemy multiply like that?
No rain if the heavens are shut up!
2 Chronicles 7:13
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,
The scientific relation between the Horse and a locust:
Job 39:19
“Do you give the horse his strength or clothe his neck with a flowing mane?
Job 39:20
Do you make him leap like a locust, striking terror with his proud snorting?
The locust shakes off:
Psalm 109:23
I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust.
The locust is one of the four smallest creatures on Earth, and has no king!
Proverbs 30:24-30
24 “Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise:
25 Ants…, 26 Coneys…
27 locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks;
The Bible classifies of the Locusts into locust swarm, young locusts, great locusts and other locusts:
Joel 1:4
What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten.
Joel 2:25
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you.
When the sun appears the locusts fly away, and no one knows where:
Nahum 3:17
Your guards are like locusts, your officials like swarms of locusts that settle in the walls on a cold day— but when the sun appears they fly away, and no one knows where.
This verse is not appropriate scientifically.
Locusts came down out of the smoke:
Revelation 9:3
And out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth.
The locusts looked like horses:
Revelation 9:7
The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces.
The Locusts in the Quran:
Five plagues in one verse versus one plague in six verses:
7:133
so we sent (plagues) against them the flood and the locusts and the Lice and the frogs and the blood – a succession of clear signs. but they were arrogant and became a guilty folk.
In one verse, the Quran says that Allah Punished Egypt with five different plagues that are the flood, the locusts, the Lice, the frogs and the blood.
Five plagues are mentioned in one verse in the Quran while one plague (the Locusts) is mentioned in six verses in the Bible.
At the Day of Judgment, the unbelievers will spread abroad out of their graves as if they are Locusts:
54:6-8
[6] Therefore, (O Prophet) turn away from them. The Day that the Caller will call (them) to a terrible affair (a painful thing).
[7] With downcast eyes, they come forth from the graves, spread abroad, as they were locusts
[8] Hastening, with eyes transfixed, towards the Caller! “this is a hard day!” the Unbelievers will say.
This meaning is not found in the Bible.
I do not know why the Bible is not interested to tell us about the Day of Judgment which is a very important issue in the Quran.
Back to our main issue; this is my question to you smart readers: Is the Quran quoted from the Bible? And which book contradicts with the sciences? The book which says: the Locusts are countless, the merchants are more than the stars of the sky, the locust is one of the four smallest creatures on Earth and/or when the sun appears the locusts fly away, and no one knows where or what do you think?

What is the religion of the democratic canditates for President?
I hear so much about the religion of the republican candidates but not the democratic candidates. Is Barak Obama muslim? What religion are they?
Who cares what religion they are? Electing a President should be about real issues, the character of the candidate, and what they can do for the U.S. as a whole.

What is the difference between Religion and Faith?
My understanding is that Faith is a personal trust in God, Religion is something you do to show others what tribe you belong to.
I read somewhere that there are 320 Religions around the world, each one claims to be the right one. It’s obvious they can’t all be the right, so is there such a thing as true and false religions.
Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see. (Hebrews 11:1). In other words, through and by your personal relationship with God, you know that you know, that you know….your needs are met, and all things are possible to them that believe; this is because He loves you.
Religion…..is ritualistic. It is based on the premise that if we conduct ourselves and our lives in a certain manner, we will earn God’s love.
Most people do not see the difference between faith and religion; but, there is clearly a marked difference.
Yes…….there is a false religion. Any religion that preaches works above faith, is a false religion. Any religion that does not preach Jesus as being the Way, the Truth and the Life is a false religion.
Jesus IS the Messiah…..and there is no other way to Heaven, but through and by believing in Him, and in the gift He gave us all, when He died on the cross and resurrected from the dead.

In the Bible: When Joseph Decided to Divorce Saint Mary
This is a new series (1-19) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.
Verse No. 19 in the Old Testament says: And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.
Verse No. 19 in the New Testament says Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
Verse No. 19 in the Noble Quran says: are not they indeed the mischief-makers? but they perceive not.
—————-
The verse No.19 in the Old Testament is Genesis 1:19
The verse continues talking about the creation of the heavens and the earth, it says: And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.
Now, in the process of the creation of the heavens and the earth, We are in the fourth day after God has created the sun and the moon in that fourth day.
Hence, we have three days passed with three evenings and three mornings. These first three days with their three evenings and three mornings happened before the creation of the sun and the moon (See articles 9-18 of this series).
How would or could that happened?
—————-
The verse No.19 in the New Testament is Matthew 1:19
The verse continues talking about the Genealogy of Jesus Christ, and Matthew lists Jesus’ ancestors, the verse says: Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly or it says: And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly
Here again, the Bible deals with Saint Mary as if she was an ordinary woman. She was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant and because he was a righteous and a jut man and unwilling to put her to shame, he did not want to expose her to public disgrace. So, he decided to divorce Saint Mary!
On the other hand, the Muslims’ faith about Saint Mary, peace be upon her; is that
She lived and died as a “Pure, Untouched, and an Outstanding Virgin Woman”. although the Bible insists that she was pledged to be married to Joseph, then she married him and then she had babies from him and then those babies are the brothers of God!

Verse No.19 in the Noble Quran is Chapter 2:12,
Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW), 2:12
The verse says:
Verses 2:8-20 are talking about the hypocrites
Verse 2:8 (See article 15) states that the hypocrites say: ‘we believe in Allah and the last day, ‘ yet they are not believers.
Verse 2:9 (See article 16) says: They think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they perceive not.
Verse 2:10 (See article 17) says: “There is a sickness in their (the hypocrites) hearts which Allah has increased; for them there is a painful punishment because they lie.”
Verse 2:11 (See article 18) says: when it is said to them: Do not corrupt in the land; they (the hypocrites) say: we are only reformers.
The verse 2:12 continues talking about the hypocrites; it says: are not they indeed the mischief-makers? but they perceive not.
The meaning of verse 2:12
They are indeed the mischief mongers by being a hindrance.
Truly they are the agents of corruption, but they perceive, this, not.
but they do not perceive; They herein refers to both the hypocrites and their followers. The hypocrites do not sense that they are the agents of corruption. their followers do not know that their leaders mislead them.

In the Bible: What are the Shortest Two Days of Creation?
This is a new series (1-31) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.
Verse No. 31 in the Old Testament says: God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
Verse No. 31 in the New Testament says ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.
Verse No. 31 in the Noble Quran says: but if you do (it) not and never shall you do (it), then be on your guard against the fire of which men and stones are the fuel; it is prepared for the unbelievers; those who reject faith.
————————
The verse No. 31 in the Old Testament is Genesis 1:31
The verse says: God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
Now, it is the sixth day of the creation of the heavens and the earth.
It seems likely that this sixth day was the longest day and it was full of activity.
Statistical study of the days of creation:
The sixth day of creation is described in seven verses of Genesis 1, from verse 24 to verse 31; and it took 285 words (10159 characters) to be described.
Verse-wise, word-wise and character-wise, the sixth day is the longest day ever in the process of the creation of the heavens and the earth.
The shortest days of the creation were the first day then the second day.
The first day is described in three verses (Genesis 1:3-5); and it took 51 words (216 characters) to be described.
The second day is described in three verses (Genesis 1:6-8); and it took 56 words (237 characters) to be described.
The third day is described in five verses (Genesis 1:9-13); and it took 120 words (518 characters) to be described.
The fourth day is described in six verses (Genesis 1:14-19); and it took 131 words (499 characters) to be described.
The fifth day is described in four verses (Genesis 1:24-31); and it took 103 words (439 characters) to be described.
It follows that the order of the days of the creation are the first, the second, the fifth, the third, the fourth then the sixth.
In other words, the first and the second days are the shortest days, then the fifth, the third and the fourth days are moderate days; and the sixth day is the longest one. This statistics is done according to the count of the verses, words and characters of every day in NIV of the Bible.
Summary of the activity done in the sixth day of creation (Genesis 24-31)
24] And God said, “Let the earth produce living creatures …
25] God made the wild animals, the livestock according and all the creatures that move along the ground.
26] And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing…
27] God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28] And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish and over the birds and over every living creature.
29] Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
30] And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.
Hence, the activities of the sixth day include:
1) The Earth Produced living Creatures
2) Man was Created the Same Day that the Wild Animals Were
3) Man was made last of all the creatures.
4) Three domination: Be fruitful, Fill the earth, and subdue it and have dominion over the fish and over the birds and over every living thing.
5) The food of man and also the food of all the animals and all the birds is determined; it seems likely that the Bible is in favor of the vegetarians and even the wild animals’ food is the green plant (Are all the Beasts Vegetarians?). Also, the Food of all Birds is Green Plant.
6) Man the Image of God. Has the Female Too the Image of God?
All of the above points are discussed in the articles 24-30
————————
The verse No. 31 in the New Testament is Matthew 2:6
In the articles 26-30, Matthew 2:1-5 say:
This is our topic, Matthew 2:6.
This is the second prophecy of Matthew about the Lord Jesus.
Who is this nameless prophet? He is Micah who said:
Micah 5:2 (New International Version)
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.
Upon reading Micah 5, the smart reader will find that Micah is talking about:
1) The city of troops, we never have such city in the New Testament.
2) A ruler over Israel, and Jesus was never a ruler over Israel
3) she who is in labor gives birth and the rest of his brothers return, and who were the rest of Jesus brothers which return?
4) he will be their peace, when the Assyrian invades our land and marches through our fortresses, we will raise against him seven shepherds, even eight leaders of men; and this never happened to Jesus
5) etc.; read the whole passage and take your time.
For these reasons, the second prophecy of Matthew about the Lord Jesus is not valid..
————————
Verse No. 31 in the Noble Quran is 2:24,
Chapter 2 is Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW),
Verses 2:1-5 are talking about the believers. (articles 8-12)
Verses 2:6-7 are talking about the disbelievers. (articles 13-14)
Verses 2:8-20 are talking about the hypocrites. (articles 15-27)
The address of verses 2:21-24 is general to mankind.
In articles 28, verse 2:21 says:
O mankind! worship your guardian-lord, who created you and those who came before you, that you may have the chance to learn righteousness(so that you will be cautious)
In articles 29, verse 2:22 says:
Who (Allah) made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and (who) sends down rain from the cloud then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know.
In articles 30, verse 2:23 says:
and if ye are in doubt concerning that which we reveal unto our servant (Muhammad), then produce a Surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful.
In this article, Verse 2:24 says:
but if you do (it) not and never shall you do (it), then be on your guard against the fire of which men and stones are the fuel; it is prepared for the unbelievers; those who reject faith.
The meaning of verse 2:24:
And if you do not, do what was mentioned because you are incapable, and you will not (a parenthetical statement), that is, never [will you be able to], because of its inimitability, then fear, through belief in God and [belief] that this is not the words of a human, the Fire, whose fuel is men, disbelievers, and stones, like their very idols, indicating that its heat is extreme, since it burns with the [stones] mentioned, unlike the fires of this world that burn with wood and similar materials; prepared, and made ready, for disbelievers, so that they are punished in it
In other words, the verse means: And if ye do it not-and you can never do it-) this you can never do and if you try you will never succeed (then guard yourselves against the Fire) if you are bent on not believing, for you should fear hell (whose fuel is men) the unbelievers, (and stones), (prepared) created, prepared and preordained (for disbelievers).
This designates that the verse is very confident that Mankind can never beat Allah’s challenge because the Quran is unique, incomparable , peerless and inimitable.

What is the relation between spirituality and science?
I belive spirituality can be understood by self instropection. Then life’s aim turns to be being used for purpose higher than yourself. Infact Darwin’s theory of evolution tells us that aim of life is continuation of life as a whole and not that of a single individual. What ever one does which includes self development and struggle of any kind makes me feel the triumph of life and not a mere individual win.
there’s very little relation really. science is just starting to grow with its openness to different topics..
science is based on evidence and u need lots of it if u want money for research.
they’re almost complete opposites right now..
and really WHAT IS spirituality
i personally think darwin had a lot of spare time to think..
respect to him though.

How does spirituality help people understand the universe in which we live?
I don’t think it does at all; I think spirituality is really just a coping mechanism that people have invented and that is not based on any evidence or rational thought process. Spirituality is the sand in which people stick their heads like ostriches when the truth gets too hard for them to accept. But religious people (especially Catholics for some reason) keep telling me that science and spirituality are two methods of understanding the universe. How can imaginary nonsense help people understand the universe?
It won’t help you obviously but for those of us who believe it helps a lot. Knowing the creation teaches us about the Creator, and knowing the Creator tells us a lot about His creation. Maybe it is you who have your head stuck in the sand. Think about it.

How would one argue the theory that religion is cognitive and not volitional?
I’ve been trying to understand The Theory of Cognitive Religion. I’ve looked it up and read up what I can but I still dont understand it completley. I know it means with the process of thought, memory, judgment and reasoning contrasted by emotional but I still dont understand how that applies to religion. So In laymans terms what is cognitive religion and how would one argue that religion is cognitive and not volitional?
sorry to say this god dosnt exist stop wasting your time
